About This Place

ER HOT POT - Battery Park is a standout destination for lovers of authentic Chinese and Sichuan hot pot in the heart of Lower Manhattan. Nestled at 21 S End Ave with spectacular views near Battery Park, this vibrant eatery invites you to dive into an immersive dining experience that seamlessly blends tradition with contemporary ease.

The core of ER HOT POT's appeal lies in its all-you-can-eat hot pot format, where diners can craft their own culinary adventure. From the moment you scan the sleek iPad ordering system, you’re met with an impressive array of ingredients to mix and match, from premium Class A U.S. beef rolls and succulent shrimp sliders to an abundant selection of fresh vegetables like baby cabbage, lotus root, kelp, and enoki mushrooms. The rich Pig Blood in Chili Sauce combo is a beloved choice for those craving authentic Sichuan spice, featuring tender beef tripe, luncheon meat, and silky chiba tofu—each ingredient soaking up the hearty, aromatic broth to tantalize your taste buds.

The broth options provide a delicate balance between traditional flavors and modern preferences, though vegetarians might find themselves navigating choices carefully, as some broths contain added sweetness or animal products. Still, the coconut chicken broth with abalone is notably gentle and flavorful, offering a rich yet refined base that compliments the variety of ingredients beautifully.

Diners rave about the food quality and variety, with lobster crab and glass noodle dishes gaining special mention for their freshness and texture. The service complements the dining experience with efficiency and warmth—fast, no-fuss service assisted by friendly staff and smart tablet ordering makes every visit smooth and enjoyable. The understated décor sets a relaxed yet inviting atmosphere, perfect for everything from casual meals after a bike ride along the nearby lane to memorable group gatherings.

One cannot overlook the unforgettable backdrop: sweeping views toward the Statue of Liberty enrich every meal with a sense of place that few other hot pot restaurants in New York can claim. This unique combination of excellent food, scenic environment, and attentive service truly makes ER HOT POT a gem among the city’s vibrant Chinese dining scene.

Whether you're a seasoned hot pot aficionado or a curious newcomer, ER HOT POT offers a soulful feast that delights all senses and leaves you eager to return. It’s clear why so many customers, like Ben who appreciates the location and efficient service, or Finola who found her soul fed by the food and view, consider this one of the best eateries New York has to offer.

Part of one of our favorite hot pot chains in the city. All you can eat with fantastic selection of meats and seafood and veg and noodles you can cook. We like this location because it's right by battery park on the bike lane, so it's great to bike there to work up an appetite. Nice water views, low key decor, fast no fuss efficient service, with tablet ordering. Generally easy to get a table. Great price for what you get. The coconut soup base is especially good with a whole young coconut. Come hungry!

Was surprised to see this place empty beside us and like 3 people who came in just for a cola. It was 44.99 a person for all you can eat. You order via an iPad, it's a pretty easy interface. The food was amazing I could have eaten all of the crab but I decided to pace myself. My friend got a variety of veggies and the glass noodles and she loved that too.

Nice to have a hot pot place in lower Manhattan! It's a fairly authentic place except that they charge for sauces (very unusual). We prefer being plant based and the choice of veggies and tofu is pretty decent. But the broth options aren't great for vegetarians. We had to go with the coconut chicken broth (with abalone) as the tomato broth has sugar added. But it was a good broth, not salty and they added two fresh coconuts! The appetizers (kelp salad and kimchi) on the house were pretty good. Service was efficient and friendly. Hope they add a mushroom based broth and more veggie/tofu options.

Don't let the price scare you away! This place was amazing and the service was top notch! To go with the great food which made my soul happy, we got a view of the Statue of Liberty while we ate! One of the best eatery establishments in New York!

It is a set price per person place. Fresh and good quality food. Loved so many items. The chicken broth was excellent. Didn’t like the tomato broth as much. Overall a good experience. Staff are friendly and helpful. The service was super quick this. We went in for late lunch around 3PM it wasn’t crowded on a weekday. Had a lovely time.

This is a set-price-per-person place, and the food quality is excellent! Everything tasted fresh, and I loved so many of the items. The chicken broth was especially delicious, though I didn’t enjoy the tomato broth as much. Overall, it was a great dining experience, and I’d definitely come back!

Edit: As for 10/21/25 looks like this place is closed temporarily or for good:( No information provided on site or online. Such a great hot pot experience! Pretty decor, nice atmosphere and music, and good quality of food. I was surprised the price included a drink of your choice and even a choice of starters (fried chicked was so good!), but their signature sichuan broth (spicy) was $9.99 extra, that was kinda new given that this is a pretty standard thing to get at a hot pot restaurant. Our second broth - coconut chicken was included and also very tasty.
